INGREDIENTS

  • 3 Large Eggs

  • 3 Tbsp Unsalted Butter

  • 1/2 Cup Milk

  • 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour

  • 1 Tbsp Sugar

  • Pinch Salt

  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract (optional)

  • 1/2 Tsp Freshly Grated Nutmeg (optional)

  • Zest of 1/2 Lemon (optional)

STEPS

  1. Preheat oven to 400F, with cast-iron pan inside

  2. Combine all ingredients except for the butter in a blender or food processor, and blend until thoroughly combined. You can also mix by hand, if preferred.

  3. Once the oven and cast-iron pan are preheated, add the butter to the dutch oven and allow it to melt. Pour the batter into the pan and immediately return it to the oven.

  4. Bake for about 20-25 minutes until Dutch baby puffs and turns golden brown, rotating skillet halfway through baking.

  5. Before serving, dust the Dutch baby with confectioner's sugar and top with berries, if desired. Cut into wedges and serve with maple syrup.
